Shibari 103 continues our foundational rope series, offering students a chance to build on the techniques introduced in 101 and 102. This class focuses on control-based ties that require a deeper understanding of structure, friction, and body mechanics. You’ll learn how to safely and effectively create a basic arm binder using hojo cuffs and frictions taught in class, while developing greater confidence in your rope handling and tensioning skills.
Expect a hands-on, supportive environment where you’ll explore new frictions, refine your line control, and practice techniques that encourage thoughtful, intentional rope work. This class is designed to help you internalize core skills and develop the muscle memory necessary to move forward in your rope journey.
Whether you’re preparing for more advanced work or simply strengthening your fundamentals, 103 is a vital step in becoming a well-rounded rope practitioner.
