Traditional Latin dance operates based on strict gender roles: Men lead, and women follow.
Flip the script with us on Thursday, May 7 for Dance Out of Tradition, a beginner-friendly partner salsa class taught by instructor Nina Osoria Ahmadi where everyone leads and everyone follows — regardless of gender.
At this unique experience from We Met in Miami and 10 Days of Connection, we’ll try out different roles on the dance floor. Then we’ll break into small groups for guided conversations on expectations around gender and leadership dynamics in relationships.
This free event is open to all adults ages 21 and over.
